Antigen requirements

  • Peptides
    • 1mg of KLH conjugated peptide for immunization
    • 2mg of BSA coupled peptide for screening
  • Recombinant or Purified Molecules
    • 3mg of Antigen
  • Soluble Antibens

Antigens in solution must be prepare in a PBS buffered solution, pH 7.4 at a concentration of 0.5 – 2 mg/mL

  • Day 0: Pre-immune bleed/ Immunize using CFA (Complete Freund’s Adjuvant).
  • Day 28: Immunize using IFA (Incomplete Freund’s Adjuvant).

The polyclonal antibody schedule can be changed at any time should you wish, provided that sufficient warning is given. If you would like the polyclonal antibody project to carry on past Day 80, there will be an additional charge of $35/week/rabbit. For each injection, we would like to use 0.2 - 0.5 mg. Therefore, for the entire polyclonal antibodies project, we will need 1.8 - 4.0 mgs. (Immunogen sources include peptides, full or partial proteins, cells, lysates, plant material) You can expect to receive at least 50-100 mls of sera from each rabbit.

Confidentiality

IPA maintains all information under the strictest confidentiality. All polyclonal antibody information and/or materials supplied by the client will be used as directed. Upon completion of the polyclonal antibody project, all materials will be either returned or disposed of as directed by the client. IPA is willing to execute confidentiality agreements with its polyclonal antibody clients.
